Hello

My name is Jenny. I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, and I am a nature enthusiast by heart. Like most Coloradoans, I love to hike and get lost in the woods. I am a plant lover, and sometimes the plants in my therapy office seem to take over. But, that's okay - more oxygen for you and me during our sessions! I come as I am to sessions and encourage my clients to do the same. My therapy style is warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I believe in the power of humor and not taking ourselves too seriously 100% of the time. I make mistakes, and I am human, and that is one of the things that keeps me loving what I do - there is always room for growth and improvement! My clients change me as much as I hope I can help them change.

My Story

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Addiction Studies from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) in 2017. Before this, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from Colorado State University - Pueblo (CSU-P) in 2015.

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Colorado. I am EMDR trained and gained this training from the EMDR Center of the Rockies.

My clinical experience has included working as a counselor in correctional settings, such as the Colorado Department of Corrections and Arapahoe County Jail, working with high-risk youth and their families, in 90-day inpatient treatment centers, in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services, and as an outpatient group and individual therapist for people struggling with trauma, depression, and anxiety.

I have worked with many people in various environments with different backgrounds, goals, and reasons for being in treatment or seeking help.

What I love the most about what I do is meeting new people and learning about what makes them, them. How they came to be in this world, the experiences that have shaped who they are, their visions, goals, who they want to be, and obstacles they hope to overcome. Walking alongside my clients on their unique journeys, exploring, and searching for answers and healing is one of my greatest passions.

I hope to be able to walk with you, whenever you are ready.

~Jenny
